Angels and the Accident

Good afternoon to you. And a good afternoon it is. There is so much to be thankful for. I’ll start with something that happened to me just last week. I was at a stop light waiting for it to turn green, and out of nowhere, a SUV hit me from the rear. It happened so fast but I didn’t feel very alarmed as perhaps I thought I should have. My first thoughts were “did anyone get hurt and God, please don’t let my car insurance go up!” The young driver who hit me was probably more nervous than I, yet he was so apologetic and appeared to express a genuine concern about my well being. Darius said he didn’t realize the light was still red and wasn’t paying attention. He had some what of a fear in his eyes—you know, the type of fear when you may be driving your parents’ car and you’d rather be beaten with a cat of nine tails than tell your parents you just got in an accident….in their car. Yes, that look. Anyway, I looked at my car and Darius looked at his SUV only to find there was not a dent or even a scratch on either of our vehicles. We both knew that we had seen a miracle because of the car accident’s impact we’d heard and felt just moments before.

I believe in the working of angels. I also believe that goodness and mercy will show up on the scene whenever I happen to get in trouble. Angels are working for you, too. Goodness and mercy follows you all the days of your life, keeping you from seen and unseen harm. I do not claim to know everything, but what I do know is that God is good; even in the times when we’re not good. That’s just the kind of Father He is. The working of angels has spared my life so many times and for this I am grateful. As you go about your day, don’t forget that you have angels assigned to your life. Though you may not see them, they are always there to protect and guide you. You are never alone.

May peace and prosperity be with you always.
