Eavesdropping On Everything I Said!

I have the funniest conversations with my mom. She turned 69 last week (happy birthday month mommy!). I’m telling you, it’s absolutely one of the greatest joys of my entire life to standby and listen to what she’s going to say next! I honestly don’t know what she’s going to say and you know, I don’t think she knows what she’s going go say next. It kind of just comes out 🙂 But one thing’s for sure–a valuable lesson will be at the end of it all.

Through the humor or sometimes firm style of her words, it often reminds me to pay more attention to my own words I think and speak. The same way I wait in anticipation to hear what mom will say next is the same way the angels and the universe wait to see what you and I will say next. This is eavesdropping to the 100th power.

Words are important. What you say matters. There is a law of sowing and reaping in the earth and it works the same for everybody. You and I can only reap what we’ve sown, for good and bad. Many people apply this to only what you do (visible actions) however, it’s equally as true for what you speak (invisible actions). Everything is created in the invisible world long before we see it in the physical.

Your words and my words create a perfect alignment of people, circumstances, and events to manifest in our experiences. A lot of it has to do with your belief system or faith in the words you speak. Some don’t really believe the words they say are true and as a result, it’s hard for them to believe what God says is true.

How many times have you heard someone say, “I was just joking” or “you know I didn’t mean that.” The laws of the spirit do not work by what you mean; they work by what you actually say (and truly believe). “I believed it, so I said it, we say what we believe.” (2 Corinthians 4:13 MSG).

Charles Capps would often say, don’t say anything that you don’t want to see come to pass in your life. He said it was promised that we can have what we say. Instead, some keep saying what they have. But if we could learn to make our speech line up with what God has said about us, (being fully convinced in your heart that it’s true), you will surely see the desires of your heart manifest. I know this to be true from my own personal experience and countless others.

As you go along this week and in the weeks to come, endeavor to use your words as a creative tool–using it skillfully on purpose. Whether you’re a person of faith or not, consistent language and belief in any direction works. Speak well of yourself, speak well of others, speak well of your circumstances and your family. If you do it consistently with intent, you will have what you say!

If you want to start your day off right, or simply want to get in the habit of being more positive with the words you speak click here to download a copy of my e-book “I Believe, So I Speak: 21 Days of Affirmations.” I personally speak these over myself everyday.

The future is bright for you, friends! And I am very excited about it. Watch what you say because somebody is always eavesdropping on you. May peace and prosperity be with you always.
